12 thousand and 500 people visited the permanent exhibition of Karun 3 dam and power plant since mid April 2009 to 21January 2010.
According to a report released by IWPC's PR, during aforementioned time , 406 administrators, 125 university professors , 989 experts, 1034 collegian , 819 students, 664 employees and 8360 individuals visited the permanent exhibition of Karun 3 dam and power plant.
During Norooz holidays, guiding groups are prepared in a bid to give explanation about the project's history in the welfare and exhibition complex. As the appropriate facilities are available, Norooz passengers can stop and visit Karun 3 and its outdoor courtyard.
The complex of Karun 3 welfare includes a permanent exhibition, mosque, green space and landscaping, parking, dining hall, as well as shopping for visitors and travelers passing Esfahan - Ahwaz axis.
It is worthy to mention that Karun 3 concrete dam, with 205 meters height from foundation, as well as a 60 kilometers long lake and a reservoir, with 3 billion cubic meters size, is currently considered the country's highest dam.

Since launching of the first unit in March 2005 to January 2010 Karun 3 power plant generated more than 13 MKWH electricity.
In addition, for the time being the amount of water in the dam's reservoir is 2.6 billion cubic meters.
Karun 3 dam and power plant is located in the North-East of Khuzestan province, near Izeh - Shahrekord axis, 28 kilometers of Izeh city.
