Introducing Acquisition of Capital Asset Projects Conference, subject of note 19 of the Budget Law will be held on Tuesday September 11th at the Ministry of Energy.
According to the report of Public Relations of Iran Water & Power Resources Development Company (IWPC), in line with the policies of Islamic Republic of Iran Government and plans of the Ministry of Energy on transferring new projects and semi completed projects of water and power industry (semi completed projects are prior) to the private sector, a Conference called "Introducing Acquisition of Capital Asset Projects", subject of note 19 of the Budget Law will be held in the presence of the First Deputy of the President, Members of the Parliament, representatives of Plan and Budget Organization, investors and economic activists of private sector.
According to the report, 7 projects of IWPC will be introduced in the Conference including Azad and Rudbar Lorestan pumped storage power plants, Seymareh, Karun II, Souleh Dakal, Zivakeh and Aras hydro power plants. In addition, 10 projects of Iran Water Resources Management Company, 3 projects of Thermal Power Plants Holding Company, 26 projects of Water & Wastewater Company of Iran and 2 projects of SATBA Company will be introduced there.
It should be noted that the Conference will be held by the Deputy for Planning and Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Energy and with the coordination of the above mentioned companies on Tuesday September 11th at the Ministry of Energy conference hall.
According to Note 19 of the Budget Law of 1397, the government is allowed to conclude different types of contracts with private sector and cooperatives in the form of public-private partnership (including transfer, partnership, construction and operation or outsourcing), observing the laws and regulations including Law on Implementation of General Policies of Principle (44) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Act (adopted on 25-May-2002) in order to attract private sector and cooperatives participation in the construction of the selected new or semi completed projects (semi completed projects are prior) and also in the operation of completed or under operation projects.
