Jury of Iranian Concrete Institute (ICC) gave Lali Bridge the Excellence in Design Award of the year. According to a news released by IWPCO's PR, announcing the news Mr. Zahedi, the executive secretary of the 9th conference said: "various features such as long spanning, high piers and pylons as well as construction technique were taken into account in selection process".
He added "construction of cable-strayed bridges is very challenging and entails having great technical knowledge. This, as well as some other aspects convinced the Jury to give Lali Bridge the award.
"Good quality of project management, excellent design and careful construction were the main features that convinced jury to give the award" believed Mr. Honarbakhsh, project manager of Lali, in this respect.
He stated:" the award was given to IWPCO to appreciate its support and effective cooperation in the project."
