This company is connected to The Ministry of Energy through "Mother Company of Water Resources Management" and is 100 pecent governmental.

"Hydroelectric projects have been divided into the five following categories:
1-Big projects are the ones which generate more that 150 MW of energy.
2-Middle projects are the ones which generate less than 150 and more than 10 MW of energy.
3-Small projects are the ones which generate less than 10 and more than 1 MW of energy.
4-Mini projects are the ones which generate less than 1 MW and more than 1 KW of energy.
5-Micro projects are the one which generate less than 1 KW of energy.
It should be noted that this categories are considered inside the company and does not refer to any satndard. Meanwhile in some cases the height of the dams are also considered for other categorizations."
